Description:
This is one of the most beautiful routes in Bulgaria that will take you through unique natural, cultural and historical sites.
The first stop is at Basarbovski rock monastery, which dates back from the Second Bulgarian Kingdom. In the village of Ivanovo go to visit the Ivanovo rock churches founded in the beginning of XIII c. by the monk Joakim, part of the natural and cultural heritage of UNESCO.
Next is the village of Koshov with a unique rock phenomenon and pleasant guest houses. Here you can find peace and hospitality.
Further the road will take you to the village of Cherven, over which stands the medieval town-fortress Cherven, the successor of a 6th century Byzantine fortress.
The route continues to Orlova Chuka cave. The cave can be visited by groups of up to 15 persons per hour
