Description:
From Nikopol to Turnu Magurele there is a ferry crossing the river 4 times a day, respectively at 09:00, 12:00, 16:00 and 19:30h.
During the Roman-Byzantine era Turnu Magurele was named Turis. Later, the Bulgarians built a fortress named Holavnik named so because it had configuration of trousers (pants). Later, the town was called Little Nicopol.
