Description:
The route is pleasant with many small climbs and descents. It is very important to avoid heavy traffic on the Sofia-Pleven main road, which can happen if you use the proposed route.
12 km before Pleven in the village of Gortalovo you can turn left and head to the eco-trail Chernelka to observe a unique rock phenomenon. The eco-path can also be reached through the village of Kartozhabene. The area is full of birds, amphibians and small reptiles.
On entering Pleven you will pass by Kaylaka Park with a zoo and a wine museum. In Pleven, you must visit the Pleven Panorama, the Museum of Liberation of Pleven, as well as the central part of the city, which is constantly cooled by the city fountains.
